Salary Information: $4,816 - $6,020 per month (DOE), based on fiscal year 2012

Education:
Must have completed one year of college coursework by time of appointment equal to 45 quarter credits/30 semester hour credits of which 5 quarter credits or 3 semester credits must be in English or Humanities designated courses or a minimum of 2 years demonstrated career experience in the following or closely related areas may be substituted for the educational requirement.
Entry Level Applicants: All testing through National Testing Network (NTN) and PHQ must be completed, as well as an application for employment submitted to the City of Oak Harbor Human Resource Department. 5:00pm, Friday, May 8th, 2015.
Candidates must pass the video portion of the test with a 75% or higher, have passed the PAT and completed the PHQ to be considered for employment with the Oak Harbor Police Department.
Lateral Entry (Experienced) Applicants- Testing through NTN is not required at this time. If you are an experienced Police Officer with at least 24 continuous months of the past 36 months of full time duty as a police officer or deputy sheriff, and are interested in employment with OHPD, please submit a application packet by 5:00pm, Friday, May 8th 2015.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
